Quzhou's Confucian culture shines at World Chinese Language Conference

The 2025 World Chinese Language Conference was held in Beijing from Nov 14 to 16, gathering linguists, cultural ambassadors, and educators from around the world to discuss the global dissemination and future development of the Chinese language.
The conference featured an exhibition area, including the Southern Confucianism-themed exhibition. This exhibition showcased the rich cultural heritage and contemporary vitality of Southern Confucianism, which takes deep root in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.
Steeped in rich Confucian culture, Quzhou has a reputation as the "Home of Southern Confucianism" and is finding innovative ways to bring this profound cultural tradition to the global stage, connecting China with the world through cultural exchanges.
The exhibition featured illustrated explanations, intangible cultural heritage experiences, and multimedia displays, offering international guests an immersive experience of Southern Confucianism's unique charm.

Italian scholar Dario Famularo, with Chinese name Fan Di, who previously participated in the International Young Sinologists Explore Quzhou event, expressed delight at seeing Quzhou's elements at the exhibition. He said that the city's unique charm, including rich cultural heritage, left a lasting impression on him, and he hoped to visit again.
During the conference, the Quzhou Southern Confucianism Cultural Development Center participated in several events, including the opening ceremony and the 2025 Global Chinese Alliance Partner Conference. It was recognized as a 2025 ChinesePlus Global Gold Medal Partner for Digital-Intelligent Chinese Language Teaching and Learning.
