Quzhou's GDP up 5.7% in first three quarters of 2025

Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province reported a 5.7 percent year-on-year increase in its GDP for the first three quarters of the year, reaching 173.15 billion yuan ($24.35 billion).

The total output value of the agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, and fishery sectors rose by 4.6 percent, totaling 10.08 billion yuan.

In the industrial sector, the automotive manufacturing sector saw a 57.3 percent increase in added-value output, while the computer, communication, and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry grew by 23.9 percent. The non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry and the chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry increased by 9.9 percent and 9.4 percent, respectively.

The service sector's added value grew by 6.5 percent, with notable performances in transportation, warehousing, and postal services, which surged by 10.4 percent. Information transmission, software, and IT services grew by 8.1 percent, and wholesale and retail by 7.8 percent.

The city's fixed-asset investment rose by 8.3 percent, and total retail sales of consumer goods reached 78.40 billion yuan, up 6.1 percent.

Urban residents' per capita disposable income increased by 4.9 percent to 51,763 yuan, while rural residents saw a 6.1 percent rise to 29,413 yuan.
