In celebration of the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Singapore, Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province held a cultural tourism promotion event on Oct 23 at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre in Singapore.

The event highlighted Quzhou's unique tourism offerings. Quzhou's tourism ambassadors presented the city's ecological beauty and historical legacy and introduced appealing tourism routes and products, emphasizing its status as the "Home of Southern Confucianism" and a "Holy Land of Go".

They also detailed the "Global Free Tours in Quzhou" policy, inviting Singaporeans to visit the city.

To make the initiative more appealing, Quzhou offers free entry to 14 major scenic spots for international tourists year-round, extending this to all global visitors from November to March, excluding the Chinese New Year holiday.

A highlight was a live performance of a segment from Nan Kong, China's first original musical centered on the culture of Southern Confucianism. The musical is set to be staged at Singapore's Esplanade Theatre on Oct 24 and 25, marking the start of its international tour.

The event also featured a display of Quzhou's cultural products, including Southern Confucianism-themed dolls and gift boxes, showing the city's cultural charm.

Quzhou plans to further develop its Global Free Tours policy and strengthen partnerships with Singaporean travel agencies in an effort to become a major destination for Southeast Asian travelers to China.
