Water beverage sector thrives in Quzhou's Kaihua
At a production plant operated by Zhejiang Zhongrui Biotechnology Development Company, which is located in Kaihua county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province, rows of bottled water roll off automated production lines through processes like filling, inspection, and packaging.
Kaihua county, located at the source of the Qiantang River, is a crucial water conservation area in Zhejiang and also in East China. The Qianjiangyuan National Forest Park and the Kaihua Reservoir are both located there.
Adjacent to the Kaihua Reservoir, Zhongrui Bio has invested 270 million yuan ($37.61 million) in a facility that has a floor space of 30,800 square meters, with three high-speed automated production lines. The facility produces 240,000 cases of bottled, barreled, and canned water each day.

Zhongrui Bio was established in Kaihua in 2023. "We conducted water quality tests for two years and found the reservoir's water to be exceptionally stable and pure," said Liang Jianfeng, a company representative.
Kaihua's efficient government services impressed the company, taking only 37 days from the initial talks to signing up the project and three months to start construction. A dedicated team from Majin town also provided comprehensive support.
In recent years, Kaihua has greatly developed its water beverage industry, attracting companies like Yufuyuan and Yunfeng Bio. This strategic focus is transforming Kaihua's premium water resources into a powerful economic driver.
