Expat students explore handicrafts, tea culture in Quzhou
A group of 50 expat students from 26 countries and regions, including Italy, Russia, and Spain, gathered on July 20 in Kecheng district, Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province to experience the cultural and historical charms of the city.
At a comprehensive community center in the local Hebeiyuan Community, the event kicked off with a promotional video showing the rich culture of Southern Confucianism in Quzhou, known as the "Home of Southern Confucianism".

At her workshop, traditional hand-weaving master Wu Zhengxian shared her stories about creating souvenirs for the 2025 Zhejiang Provincial City Basketball League, which captivated the students. Eager to learn, they tried their hands at weaving in order to craft intricate floral designs.
In a tea room, Wang Xiaomin, a tea culture inheritor, used a cup of rich black tea to illustrate the history of Chinese tea culture. The students listened intently, savoring the fragrant tea and gaining insights into the traditional Chinese culture.

The event culminated in the Overseas Youth Starry Stage event, where students sang under a cascade of flowers and moonlit decorations.
"I love Quzhou and this enchanting scene!" exclaimed an expat student from the United States.
