The Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, commenced operations on June 11, when it welcomed a group of container trucks loaded with imported wood pulp.
The Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which is the 12th comprehensive bonded zone in Zhejiang, is situated in the Quzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 1.11 square kilometers.
The zone allows products to be imported without immediate tax payment, deferring taxes until the products are ready for production, thus reducing financial costs and improving cash flow for businesses.
On June 11, a launch ceremony and a project signing event were held in the Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, which saw the signing of agreements on 10 projects.
The zone, which was approved by the State Council on Feb 20 and received its official acceptance on May 20, fills a regional gap in western Zhejiang's bonded zones.
According to a representative from the Quzhou Intelligent Manufacturing New City, the zone focuses on bonded processing and logistics, while also exploring innovative sectors like bonded R&D, maintenance, and cross-border e-commerce.
Additionally, the cross-border e-commerce direct purchase center within the zone began operations on June 11, offering over 50,000 imported items from more than 50 countries and regions.
