Cross-border e-commerce thrives in Quzhou
In the face of the challenges of international trade markets, cross-border e-commerce of Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has shown remarkable growth this year.
From January to March, imports and exports of the city's cross-border e-commerce reached 2.37 billion yuan ($329.35 million), a 250.6 percent year-on-year increase. This surge reflects strategic efforts and initiatives driving the success of Quzhou's cross-border e-commerce.
A prime example is Zhejiang SMILE Tools Company, a leading supplier of aluminum products. The company's revenue hit 170 million yuan in 2024, thanks to online platforms like cross-border e-commerce standalone sites and Alibaba's international trade site.

Quzhou's comprehensive strategy includes expanding international markets through initiatives such as the cross-border e-commerce service season, which hosted over 120 events. These efforts have connected local businesses with major platforms like Amazon, enhancing their digital marketing and export skills.
The recent approval of the Quzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone has further bolstered the city's e-commerce infrastructure. New e-commerce industrial parks and a robust public service system have supported over 500 registered companies, contributing to a significant rise in exports.
With educational institutions offering specialized courses and a focus on brand development, Quzhou continues to expand its cross-border e-commerce.
