Quzhou's two sites shine as most beautiful public cultural spaces
The China Village Art Museum and Dachen Village Wang Clan Ancestral Hall in Quzhou, Zhejiang province have recently been honored with the "Outstanding Public Cultural Space Awards" in the 2024 national most beautiful public cultural space competition.
The competition started last September and evaluated over 2,000 public cultural spaces from 19 provincial-level regions across the country.

The China Village Art Museum, which opened in September 2020 in Yudong village, Kecheng district, Quzhou, spans 4,800 square meters and features farmers' paintings. It blends art with nature, attracting artists and experts for cultural exchanges.
The art museum displays the charm of intangible cultural heritage and supports rural vitalization through the integration of culture and tourism. It has attracted over 20,000 tourists through study tours since its opening.

The Dachen Village Wang Clan Ancestral Hall, built in 1714 and a provincial-level protected historical site since 2005, plays a crucial role in promoting cultural heritage and cultural tourism.
The hall also serves as a vibrant venue for cultural activities and performances like village songs and operas, boosting local tourism with 180,000 visitors in 2024 and generating substantial economic benefits for the region.
