Spring Festival celebrations light up Quzhou

To celebrate Spring Festival, cultural and tourism activities themed around intangible cultural heritage will be staged in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

The festivities will begin on Jan 23 and continue until Feb 12, featuring over 2,000 exciting events.

In the Quzhou Ancient City Cultural Tourism Zone, visitors can feel the charm of traditional culture at more than 120 intangible cultural heritage activities. Highlights include Changshan cheering ballads, opera performances, datiehua (flinging molten iron show), and other unique intangible cultural heritage shows.

Quzhou collaborates with ten major commercial districts across the city to prepare over 200 shopping events. These include discount promotions, fashion shows, and food contests, creating a one-stop shopping experience.

The cultural venues in the city prepare more than 300 exhibition series. From museums to art galleries, intangible cultural heritage halls to cultural blocks, the diverse and interactive events charm Quzhou's visitors during the Spring Festival holiday.

Major scenic spots across the city will host over 200 special Spring Festival events. These include innovative forms such as low-altitude tourism, interesting theaters, and digital mountain climbing.

Each county, county-level city, and district in Quzhou has arranged over 560 unique activities. Various towns and villages have organized over 400 cultural and tourism activities, emphasizing traditional folk culture experiences.
