According to the Quzhou municipal bureau of culture and tourism, with the release of the 2024 "global free tours in Quzhou", 14 core scenic spots in Quzhou welcomed 79,286 visitors over the weekend of Nov 2 to 3, which is over three times as many as last year.

Of these visitors, 43,403 were traveling independently and 35,883 were part of tour groups.

The top three most visited attractions last weekend were the Root Palace and Buddhist Cultural Tourist Area, Longyou Caves, and Nianbadu Ancient Town, with 13 of the 14 core scenic spots seeing visitor numbers more than double year-on-year.

According to the optimized global free tours in Quzhou, 14 core scenic spots such as Lanke Mountain, Yaowang Mountain, and Minju Garden will offer free entry from Nov 1 to March 31 excluding the Chinese New Year holiday.

These 14 core scenic spots have opened online reservation channels for all visitors. Tourists planning to visit during weekends and the New Year's holiday are advised to plan their trips to avoid peak times.

To get the word out, Quzhou has partnered with travel agencies, hotels, and homestays to develop travel products centered around the free-entry scenic spots.
