The China Qujiang Rowing Masters and Prestigious University Open was held on Nov 3 in the Wuxi River, Qujiang district, Quzhou, Zhejiang province.
This 1,000-meter straight-line race was held at the Quzhou International Water Sports Center and featured four lanes. The competition included high school, university, and masters categories, with events such as men's quadruple sculls, women's quadruple sculls, and mixed eight.
The event attracted 163 rowers from 11 prestigious universities, including Tongji University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and the University of Johannesburg in South Africa, as well as several domestic rowing clubs.
"The water sports center is beautiful, and the air is fresh. This is one of the best competitions I've ever participated in," said Achraf AitOguerd from Morocco, an international student from Zhejiang Normal University. He was captivated by the scenic beauty of Qujiang on his first visit.
"This event not only provides a place for rowing enthusiasts to show their skills but also facilitates exchanges between university teams," said Yang Laiyun from Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance.
