DAS Solar Co, a company dedicated to providing comprehensive photovoltaic new energy system solutions, recorded an annual revenue of 26.33 billion yuan ($3.71 billion) in 2023, earning it a stop among China's Top 500 Private Enterprises of 2024, according to Tide News on Nov 4.
Founded in 2018, DAS Solar's revenue was less than 100 million yuan in 2019. By 2023, it had skyrocketed to over 26 billion yuan, demonstrating explosive growth over six years.
In 2019, DAS Solar established China's first research and production line for the N-type tunnel oxide passivated contact cell.
The company has continually set new records for N-type cell conversion efficiency. In 2023 alone, its efficiency increased from 26.24 percent to 26.33 percent, and then to 26.7 percent, breaking the world record for large-area TOPCon cell efficiency three times.
With the N-type technology becoming the industry mainstream, DAS Solar has emerged as a leader in the industry. It currently ranks eighth globally in shipment volume, and its new N-type cell shipments rank second worldwide.
"Despite technological iterations continually improving cell efficiency, the actual efficiency in practical applications is often not that high due to environmental and climatic conditions. This is because different photovoltaic application scenarios still adopt the same solution," said Song Dengyuan, chief technology officer of DAS Solar.
The company has been exploring tailored photovoltaic system solutions targeting various complex scenarios, such as mountains, water surfaces, forests, and oceans.
From January to September, orders of DAS Solar's new N-type technology products have continued to grow rapidly, with orders now extending to March 2025.
