The 2024 Quzhou Reading Week and the 16th Quzhou Book Fair commenced on Oct 27. They featured the Spring Breeze Children's Book Award ceremony, marking the beginning of a cultural feast.

Quzhou, known as the home of Southern Confucianism, boasts a rich history and culture. The continuous hosting of the reading week during Quzhou's crucial development phase has infused the city with a refreshing literary atmosphere.

The Spring Breeze Children's Book Award was established in Quzhou in 2023. This year, the award ceremony was held again in the city, accompanied by a series of reading-related activities that promoted reading among locals.

The event also featured the release of the 16th Quzhou Book Fair's list of 100 recommended books and showcased new works by Quzhou authors.

The recommended books span various fields, including humanities and social sciences, literature and arts, children's books, and science and technology, providing readers with a rich selection of reading materials.

At the event, Quzhou's "You Li Book Bar" officially opened and received 4,000 donated books from Zhejiang Publishing United Group, bringing excellent publications to more readers.
