Quzhou Museum has become a magnet for visitors, drawing crowds that packed its halls during the recent National Day holiday.

Between Oct 1 and 6, the museum received 59,781 visitors, a 72 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

"We often talk about edutainment — education through enjoyment," explained Tong Lijuan, director of the museum. "Entertainment and museums aren't at odds. Our cultural events over the National Day holiday showed just how much engagement they can create."

The museum hosted a variety of cultural activities that drew enthusiastic crowds and saw lively responses.

For young visitors, museum trips now often end in the museum shop. At Quzhou Museum's first-floor cultural creative gallery, the Zhu Bingren Art Exhibition souvenirs were especially popular, raking in over 120,000 yuan in sales over the six days.

"Young people are the core audience for our museum products," said a museum staff member. "We use bold colors and interactive designs that appeal to their preferences, like the customizable copper bracelets that can be assembled freely."

With a collection of nearly 30,000 artifacts, including historical treasures, ancient books, and artworks, Quzhou Museum's offerings span natural, historical, and artistic artifacts, including stone tools, ceramics, bronzes, jades, and more.
