Quzhou's National Day spectacle draws excited crowds
The National Day holiday brought a surge of visitors to Quzhou as various themed activities and performances delighted tourists across the city, Tide News reported on Oct 8.
According to the national railway operator China State Railway Group, China's railway sector handled 177 million passenger trips during the 10-day holiday travel rush, which ended on Tuesday.
At the Nianbadu scenic area, attractions were infused with interactive storylines, allowing visitors to role-play and solve puzzles alongside actors. In the first three days of the holiday, the site drew over 20,000 visitors, a 100 percent year-on-year increase.
In addition to sightseeing, Quzhou's culinary scene was a major draw. Nearly 10 markets and fairs came alive, while popular food spots drew crowds eager to experience the city's unique flavors.
According to the city's culture and tourism bureau, Quzhou's tourism sector operated smoothly and efficiently throughout the holiday, offering visitors not just picturesque landscapes and rich cultural heritage, but also the warmth and spice of its local cuisine.
