Quzhou continues to promote local specialty industries

The full-chain output value of the pomelo, oil tea, and tea industries in Quzhou has reached 11.8 billion yuan ($1.68 billion), with 10 local specialties making the provincial list, each with an expected full-chain output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, according to the local government on Sept 23.

In 2023, Quzhou introduced a high-quality development action plan for the three major industries. This year, it has updated fiscal incentive policies and support fund plans.

The city has organized a survey of local resources, clarified the comprehensive industrial chain status of each local specialty, and gathered development resources, establishing a database of local specialties.

It has also strengthened technical cooperation with research institutes to continuously enhance the quality of local specialties, transforming the city's ecological advantages into quality advantages for its local specialties.

The pomelo industry in Quzhou boasts one geographical indication brand and two well-known enterprise brands, and has developed over 90 deep-processed products. The tea industry has three geographical indication brands and several famous local teas. The oil tea industry has three regional public brands and over 30 well-known enterprise brands.
