Ke Peiying, born in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, is set to compete in the goalball event at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, which will be held from Aug 28 to Sept 8.

Ke joined the Zhejiang women's goalball team at the age of 17 and became a member of China's women's goalball team at 21.

She has won multiple goalball championships, including at the 2023 IBSA World Games and the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou in October 2023.

On Aug 16, the Chinese sports delegation was established in Beijing, comprising a total of 516 members, including 284 athletes with an average age of 25.8 years old. The delegation will participate in 19 major events and 302 minor events at the Paris Paralympics.

The goalball event at the Paris Paralympics will be played from Aug 29 to Sept 5 at the South Paris Arena. China's women's goalball team, a top team of six athletes, will face Turkiye, Brazil, and Israel in the group stage.

In goalball, two teams of three players face off on a field the size of a volleyball court. The attacking team tries to score by rolling a ball with bells inside it into the opposing team's goal.
