In Xiaonanhai town, Longyou county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province, a shiitake mushroom plantation exemplifies the integration of traditional agriculture with modern information technology.

This innovative approach has transformed mushroom cultivation through the use of smart technology greenhouses, utilizing advanced systems to precisely control temperature, humidity, light, airflow, and carbon dioxide levels.

The environment within the greenhouses is automatically adjusted to meet the growth needs of edible fungi using temperature control equipment, high-pressure misting irrigation systems, and various sensor devices, according to Zhu Youcun, a representative of the plantation.

Equipped with advanced monitoring equipment, the smart greenhouses continuously track key indicators such as temperature, humidity, and carbon dioxide concentration, ensuring mushrooms grow under optimal conditions. This 24/7 year-round management has revolutionized traditional shiitake mushroom cultivation, increasing both production and quality.

As a result, a single greenhouse can hold over 20,000 mushroom sticks and produce nine batches of shiitake mushrooms annually, yielding more than 50,000 kilograms.

This plantation is among the remarkable achievements of Quzhou's recent efforts to develop smart agriculture. It is currently home to two provincial-level future farms and 39 digital agriculture factories.
