The Longyou Bamboo Weaving Museum in Xikou town, Longyou county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province has been shortlisted as a provincial rural museum, as recently announced by the Zhejiang Provincial Bureau of Cultural Relics.

Eighty-four rural museums in the province made the list.

With the engagement of more than 20 skilled craftsmen and 170 local residents, the museum has tapped into the town's abundant bamboo resources to create exquisite bamboo artifacts like lamps and boxes that resonate with modern preferences, effectively highlighting the rich tapestry of the area's local customs.

Furthermore, the museum immerses visitors in the town's longstanding bamboo culture through engaging study tours and educational activities. In the year 2022 alone, these dynamic initiatives captivated over 10,000 participants, significantly enhancing the growth of rural cultural tourism in the region.
