Jiangshan's door industry undergoes transformation
The total output value of the door industry in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, reached 9.02 billion yuan ($1.26 billion) in 2023, as reported by authorities.
This impressive performance can be attributed to the gradual transition and upgrade of more than 200 door enterprises in the city towards whole-house customization.
In response to a series of new challenges, including product upgrades, design innovation, resource integration, supply chain construction, and digital transformation, Jiangshan's door enterprises have collectively embraced the concept of shared manufacturing.
The whole-house customization industry of Jiangshan's door sector now boasts over 100 varieties of seven categories.
Jiangshan is renowned as the "capital of Chinese wooden doors", housing over 1,000 various door and ancillary enterprises. For every five wooden doors produced in China, one is crafted in Jiangshan.
Looking ahead, the city aims to see the total output value of its whole-house customization industry surpass 20 billion yuan by 2026.
