The Yu Shaosong Museum in Muchen township, Longyou county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province showcases Yu's achievements and contributions in the fields of art, calligraphy, and chorography when he sought refuge during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1931-45).
The museum has set up a reception hall, an exhibition hall, a tea room, a reading room, and a multimedia room, with self-service borrowing and returning machines and coffee machines installed to offer a better experience to visitors.
Yu Shaosong (1883-1949), who was born in Longyou, served as a consultant in the Ministry of Justice in the first year of the Republic of China (1911-1949). Throughout his life, he devoted himself to the study of ancient inscriptions, calligraphy, painting, art theory, and the compilation of local gazetteers.
