The Dananmen historical and cultural block in Longyou county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province has been listed as a provincial cultural landmark, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development announced on Dec 14.

As the cultural and commercial root of Longyou, the block has been the political, cultural, and commercial center of Longyou Ancient Town for thousands of years.

Visitors can take in the ancient city walls, gates, archways, well platforms, ancestral halls, and other ancient buildings, experiencing the block's rich Confucian culture and commercial charm.

The block has been revitalized and protected via the integration of multiple industries, resulting in the creation of new cultural and tourism scenes.
