The China Customs magazine, published by the General Administration of Customs, recently released the list of China's top 100 foreign trade cities in 2022. Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province ranked 97th on the list.

The list of China's top 100 foreign trade cities evaluated the foreign trade competitiveness of each city based on five criteria: level, structure, efficiency, development, and potential.

The list revealed that the competitive focus of cities in foreign trade is increasingly influenced by factors such as policies, funds, ports, and talent. These factors are reflected in the potential competitiveness category, which includes indicators such as the number of open ports and platforms, number of new foreign trade enterprises, and amount of foreign capital utilized.

Data showed that in 2022, Quzhou's total imports and exports were valued at 61.25 billion yuan ($8.58 billion), an increase of 24.3 percent over 2021. From January to September, the total value of Quzhou's imports and exports amounted to 52.16 billion yuan, an increase of 17.4 percent over the same period last year.
