Agreements for 2 Quzhou foreign-funded projects signed at CIIE

The sixth China International Import Expo opened in Shanghai on Nov 5.

That afternoon, the sub-forum of the sixth Hongqiao International Economic Forum was held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai), aiming to further promote the global digital economy and cooperation with high-tech enterprises.

Contracts for two foreign-funded projects from Quzhou were signed at the event.

The Longyou Investment Promotion Center signed a contract with Hong Kong Eagle International Investment Ltd for the quartz sand purification and post-processing production line project, with a planned total investment of about 2.3 billion yuan ($315.77 million). The products will be applied to electronic information, optical fiber, photovoltaic and other industries and have important applications in the fields of national defense, military industry and aerospace.

The other project is a 5G internet of things smart hardware project in Qujiang district, receiving a total investment of 1.15 billion yuan. It is expected to achieve a production capacity of 12 million devices per year.
