The 19th Hangzhou Asian Games kicked off on Sept 23 with a spectacular opening ceremony at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Stadium. Among the many warm-up performances that showcased the diversity and vitality of Zhejiang province, two performances from Quzhou stood out as they displayed the city's rich cultural heritage and vibrant development.

One of the performances was called Nankong Bamboo Drum. Through a sword dance, 24 solar terms drum performance and recital, it showcased the distinct culture of Quzhou, including Confucianism, Go, and Start of Spring.

In addition, Xu Zhaoting from Quzhou sang Dream Paradise at the opening ceremony.
