Quzhou local food brand embraces Asian Games economy

Sanquwei, a Quzhou food brand, became the official supplier of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games in 2022. Ten enterprises in the city authorized by Sanquwei have provided fresh ingredients such as eggs, vegetables, milk, and mushrooms for the Hangzhou Asian Games since then.

"From mid-July to early September, the company provided 6,000 low-temperature fresh milks and yogurts every day for the staff of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and performers in the opening ceremony of the Games, totaling 180,000 dairy products," said Zhang Wanchun, general manager of Zhejiang Helu Leisure Agriculture Development Co Ltd.

As a result of the Asian Games, annual sales of Sanquwei's authorized enterprises have exceeded 9 billion yuan ($1.23 billion) this year, a year-on-year increase of nearly 30 percent.

Sanquwei has so far authorized 192 enterprises and 500 products, cultivated 60 large-scale, standardized bases, and built more than 70 demonstration marketing outlets, such as the Hangzhou Citizen Center Store. According to statistics, from January to August, Sanquwei products achieved 5.84 billion yuan in sales.
