Eight famous social media influencers from the United States, Russia, Korea, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Morocco and other countries were recently invited to Quzhou to explore the city's rich and diverse cultural and tourism attractions, especially Go (or weiqi) culture.

Quzhou has been dubbed the birthplace of Go culture. The first stop of their journey is Lanke Mountain, a scenic spot famous for its legend of Lanke, which tells the story of woodsman Wang Zhi losing track of time watching the Go games of immortals on Lanke Mountain.

There, the influencers will see a giant chessboard that recreates a famous Go match from 1998, as well as a 350-year-old Chinese sweet gum and 5,000-year-old well. They were amazed by the ancient and mysterious stories behind these attractions.

The Quzhou culture and tourism bureau organized the activity to promote the city's tourism and showcase the charm of Go culture to the world. The influencers said that they were impressed by the picturesque scenery of Quzhou.
