The key to the fine and delicate texture and sweet taste of Longyou steamed sponge cakes lies in the natural fermentation of glutinous rice and the addition of premium fat from Longyou black pigs. The fermented glutinous rice must use distiller's yeast made from wild flaccid knotweed herb as a natural fermentation source.

The sponge cake's production process is quite complex. It involves over 10 steps, including soaking in water, rinsing, pulling the dough, grinding into flour, dehydrating, mixing and stirring, fermenting and steaming with vapor.

Jiangshan kiwifruit is a national geographical indication product mainly produced in Tangyuankou township, which is located in the mountains. The significant temperature difference between day and night in the mountains contributes to the accumulation of sugar, making the kiwifruit exceptionally sweet.

In addition, the abundant natural springs throughout the mountains add a refreshing crispness to the sweetness.
