A high-speed rail platform renovation project at the Quzhou Railway Station that lasted for more than three months was completed on June 28.
On June 29, the Quzhou Railway Station resumed high-speed rail passenger services in full. All high-speed trains heading to Hangzhou, Shanghai and other northbound directions that were suspended due to the station's renovation have been resumed.
The renovation project started on March 6 and involved five high-speed rail platforms.
The renovated platforms have been completely transformed with flatter platform surfaces and clearer signs. Meanwhile, tactile paving blocks were added at passenger overpass entrances, elevator entrances, underpasses and other locations to further enhance the station's accessible facilities and provide support for the forthcoming Asian Para Games.
On June 29, 117 high-speed train trips to cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou and Ningbo were resumed. The number of high-speed rail or bullet trains (including intercity bullet trains) from Quzhou to Hangzhou has increased to 54, with one train departing every five minutes at the fastest.
In addition, starting at midnight on July 1, China's railway will implement the 2023 summer train operation plan, and the Quzhou Railway Station's trains will be further optimized. A total of 198 trains will operate, including six trains in addition to those already running. Among them are four regular trains and two high-speed trains.
Detailed information such as train numbers and times for resuming high-speed rail passenger services will be subject to station announcements. Passengers can check train operation information through China Railway's official website or the app 12306.
