China Dragon Boat Open Championship kicks off in Quzhou

The 2023 China Dragon Boat Open Championship (Zhejiang Changshan Station) was held on May 20 to 21 in the waters of Changshan Port in Changshan county, Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

The event opened with a series of dragon boat races, where 32 teams from all over China competed in the waters of Changshan River.

The competition lasted two days and was divided into men's, women's, and public groups. There were 12 men's 22-person dragon boat teams, 6 women's 12-person dragon boat teams, and 14 local dragon boat teams from Changshan.

The competition included 100m, 200m, and 500m straight races, as well as an additional 3,000m race for the men's group.

The Dongguan Zhongtang Huangyong Old Friends Dragon Boat Club won first place in the men's group dragon boat competition, the Dongguan Wanjiang Southern Science and Technology Dragon Boat Team won first place in the women's group, and Baishi town, Huibu town, and Zhaoxian town in Changshan county took the top three spots in the public group.
