The 2023 China Bee Industry Expo and National Bee Product Market Information Exchange Conference opened in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on March 17.

More than 1,000 experts, scholars, representatives of enterprises, and bee farmers from all over the country participated in the bee product market information exchange conference to discuss rural vitalization and the innovative development of bee products.

The three-day expo featured 140 booths, with more than 120 enterprises and cooperatives from across the country displaying the latest achievements of the contemporary Chinese bee industry.

Various bee intensive processing products, beekeeping production equipment, bee product processing equipment, and bee culture are being sold and exhibited at the expo.

Jiangshan is known as the "hometown of bees in China". The city has bred 235,000 bee colonies and is home to 34 bee product enterprises, with a total output value of 1.5 billion yuan ($217 million).
