Quzhou sees rapid economic growth in 2022

The annual growth rates of Quzhou's 12 main economic indicators in 2022 ranked among the top four in Zhejiang province, according to the Quzhou statistics bureau.

The 12 economic indicators included gross domestic product, industrial added value of above-designated-size enterprises, fixed assets investment, retail sales of consumer goods, foreign trade volume, fiscal revenue, general public budget revenue, as well as per capita disposable income of urban and rural residents.

The total output value of the city's above-designated-size industrial enterprises, which are those with an annual output value of more than 20 million yuan ($2.96 million), reached 285.76 billion yuan in 2022, while the industrial added value of above-designated-size enterprises totaled 60.97 billion yuan.

In the past year, the city invested 30.6 billion yuan in the industrial sector, a year-on-year growth of 46.3 percent, the highest in the province. Its investment in the manufacturing industry and technological transformation was 26.7 billion yuan and 12.4 billion yuan, up 60.3 percent and 34.2 percent year-on-year respectively.

In addition, 13 Quzhou-based enterprises were designated as "little giants" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2022, which refer to those small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that possess core technologies, strong innovation capabilities, large market shares, as well as high profitability.

To stimulate the recovery of the consumer market, the city issued a total of 194 million yuan in consumption coupons, which boosted consumption by 2.38 billion yuan.
