Experts confirmed that four species of macrofungi collected in Jiangshan, a county-level city in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, have recently been identified as newly recorded species in China.

Since August 2021, the Jiangshan branch of the Quzhou municipal ecology and environment bureau has carried out a survey of macrofungi biodiversity.

Preliminary identification results showed 294 species of macrofungi in Jiangshan, including four newly recorded species in China.

Macrofungi plays an important role in balancing forest ecosystems. The humid and rainy climate, abundant animals and plants and special topography provide favorable conditions for the growth and development of macrofungi in Jiangshan.

Here are the four newly recorded species in China found in the city.
