Kecheng district in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, was recently recognized as the national demonstration area for ecological civilization construction by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment during the China Ecological Civilization Forum Nanchang Annual Conference.

The district has been exploring a scientific development path that integrates environmental protection, production development and improving living standards based on the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.

In recent years, all water has reached the water quality standard in four sections under provincial control and 15 sections at the intersection of townships and sub-districts.

In addition, the district was named a "China Natural Oxygen Bar" and the Lingjiushan National Forest Sports Town in the district was included in the first batch of national sports and leisure towns.
