Quzhou's online retail sales total 2.08b yuan during Double 11

Quzhou's e-commerce retail sales totaled 2.08 billion yuan ($291.26 million) during the Double 11 (Nov 11) online shopping festival, an increase of 24.8 percent year-on-year, the highest growth rate in Zhejiang province.

During the online shopping festival, Jiangshan city, Kecheng district and Qujiang district saw the highest online sales in the city, accounting for 74.9 percent, 13.7 percent and 4.6 percent of the city's total, respectively.

Retail sales of digital devices, clothing and office supplies ranked in the top three in the city, accounting for 35.3 percent, 20 percent and 17.3 percent, respectively, of the city's total.

Online retail sales in rural areas of the city exceeded 1.68 billion yuan, an uptick of 4.8 percent year-on-year. Online retail sales of agricultural products reached 67.7 million yuan, a year-on-year growth of 8.8 percent.

In addition, the city sold over 1.65 million goods via livestreams, generating 179.53 million yuan.
