The Quzhou Library in East China's Zhejiang province recently posted a notice on a digital platform that provides information about cultural activities in the city.

This is an example of how a digital platform can be used to provide better public cultural services to local residents.

Launched by the publicity department of Quzhou's CPC committee, the platform is meant to integrate high-quality cultural resources across the city's departments such as culture, sports, education and tourism.

Users can find information about popular tourist spots as well as schedules and venues of cultural activities held at the city's libraries, museums and culture centers.

Zhou Yiran, a resident from Longyou county in Quzhou, said that she had found a scenic spot to admire hairawn muhly through a platform called "quzhoufb".

Information on cultural activities held in the city's 2,158 villages and six counties and districts has been uploaded to the platform, according to authorities.

The data on the platform serves as a useful reference for the tourism industry, as people can learn about tourists' interests and demands from big data.

He Jiashun, a campsite operator in Misai village, Kaihua county, Quzhou, said he had hosted a music festival in paddy fields and a camping festival in October according to information on the platform.

The village received 30,000 visitors during the National Day holiday and provided 30 jobs for locals.
