A look at Quzhou’s intangible cultural heritage

Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has a history of more than 6,000 years of civilization, while the city itself is 1,800 years old.

It is home to many intangible cultural heritage items, including Nianbadu puppet show, Changshan cheering ballads, Kaihua straw-made dragon dance, Confucius memorial ceremony, Wu opera, technology of making white porcelain, legend of Lanke Mountain, Yang Jizhou acupuncture, Longyou paper-making and Quzhou Gaoqiang opera.
