Quzhou invests 8.3b yuan to build 'Virtuous Quzhou' scenic belt
A groundbreaking ceremony for 47 projects related to the building of "Virtuous Quzhou" poetic and charming scenic belt that received a total investment of 8.37 billion yuan ($1.31 billion) was held in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, on April 6.
The 47 projects include 24 infrastructure projects, 14 agricultural industry projects, seven cultural and tourism projects, and two health projects.
All these projects aim to achieve rural revitalization and common prosperity by improving urban and rural landscapes, exploring digital villages and carrying out industrial projects and brand creation.
In recent years, the city has been striving to promote the development of such a scenic belt to improve the rural environment and increase villagers' incomes.
The construction area covers nearly 11 percent of the city's land area, includes more than 20 scenic spots at the 3A-level or above and over 60 historical and cultural villages in its six administrative areas.
So far, nine modern agricultural parks have been created and 24 villages, including Yudong village in Kecheng district, Yingchuan village in Qujiang district and Tuanshi village in Longyou county, have been renovated.
