Quzhou hails harmony, green future communities
The area occupied by modern-day Quzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province has a history of more than 6,000 years of human habitation, while the existing city itself is some 1,800 years old.
The city is said to take pride in its popular urban brand, as being the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue".
Quzhou officials said the area's growing future communities – with their focus on harmony, green development, intelligence and communal sharing – are designed to improve the quality of life of their residents.
The city has also established a team to promote the project, focusing on improving the processes, on-site and online interactions and their integration with online links.

Lixian Future Community
Lixian Future Community is one of the first 24 future community pilot projects in Zhejiang. The residential areas to be renovated are old residential areas from the 1970s to the 1990s. [Photo/zj.zjol.com.cn]
Luming Future Community
The floor space of the Luming Future Community – when construction is completed – will be 650,000 square meters.
