Grandpa Confucius is a popular cartoon figure based on the great Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BC) and recently three Grandpa Confucius-themed bookstores were opened to the public in the city of Quzhou, in East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports on Nov 30.

Wang Xuecui, a local resident in Quzhou, said that the layout of the one she visited was quite impressive and there were a lot of photos displayed on the walls. "I expect that there will be more professional books on photography and we can read these books there and also have some activities to share there, " Wang added.

Many photography enthusiasts gathered at one of the new outlets and participated in a photography symposium.
