Quzhou city, located in East China's Zhejiang province – dubbed the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue" – has rolled out a raft of measures and launched cultural projects to promote its city brand.
The upgrading of the Shuitingmen historic and cultural block and the construction of Beimen Street historic block are key projects currently under construction in Quzhou Confucian Cultural Industrial Park.
"As a crucial part of the city's cultural industry, the research-education industry is an important carrier to inherit history and influence the future," said one of the senior officials running the project.
"The industrial zone – including the Nanzong Confucius Temple as the core – is expected to become a key area to enhance the cultural resources of Southern Confucianism and drive industrial agglomeration," the official added.
