The new inter-city, high-speed railway from Zhangjiajie city Hunan province – and going directly to Quzhou city, in East China's Zhejiang province – recently officially started operations, according to local media reports on Oct 12.
The addition of the new line is expected to add vitality to Quzhou city's transportation infrastructure.
As a result, a group of 12 inter-city trains have been added, including two round-trip routes – Quzhou-South Shanghai and Qingyuan-South Shanghai.
In addition, a total of 11 redundant trains were suspended from service, including two high-speed trains and nine conventional trains.
