A new landing point for helicopters – located at the exit of the South Huangshan-Quzhou Expressway – recently made its debut in Quzhou city, in East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports on Aug 30.
Overlooking the ground, the temporary helipad is clearly marked with a large green circle of primer, the cross in the middle is white and a red letter H is at the center of the helicopter landing site, ensuring pilots can easily zero in on the spot.
"The newly-built temporary helipad will play an important role in improving the expressway emergency rescuing system and broadening the reach of disaster prevention and relief," said a manager at the Quzhou Management Center.
