The Quzhou-Songyang section of the Quzhou-Lishui Railway – located in East China's Zhejiang province – was recently listed among the major construction projects in the country's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25).

Recently, the Phase II section completed bid evaluations and was expected to start construction next year.  

The Quzhou-Songyang section of the Quzhou-Lishui Railway is set to start from Qujiang Station in Quzhou city and to stretch 86.72 kilometers and the design speed will be 250 kilometers per hour

Rail officials said the new line would be significant in terms of the development of Quzhou as core "big-garden" city in Zhejiang and the layout of the railway network in southwest Zhejiang.
