The renovation and upgrading of the Longyou Railway Station entered its final stage on June 16, and the station is set to officially open according to schedule on June 25, according to local media on June 17.

The new station covers a total area of more than 15,000 square meters and the platform is designed in the style of ancient Chinese architecture. The interior features unique stone carvings of famous attractions such as the Longyou Grottoes. The design of the new station is meant to improve the flow of passengers in and out of the station.

After its reconstruction and expansion, the station will service 13 addition trains, and regular railway services will be resumed.
