Talented locals eagerly endorse Quzhou's urban brand
The city Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province – as home to the ancestral hall for the southern branch of the family of the great philosopher Confucius – recently invited a group of talented locals including doctors, entrepreneurs and top-grading school students to be the city's spokespeople and to endorse its urban brand as the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue".
Chen Wei, an NPC deputy and a physician at the People's Hospital of Quzhou, said that she was proud to fulfill the role.
"As a doctor, love and dedication has been the standard of my medical practice during 30 years of work experience," she said.
"It has become my instinct to save lives no matter where I am, which I believe is also the best embodiment of our city's urban brand."
Pan Lianchi, Party secretary and chairman of the board of Oriental Group Quzhou Zhejiang, said that the success of his company depended on the trustworthiness of its management, an ethos that chimed with his role as spokesman for the city.
"With the arrival of the era of e-commerce, facing the modern corporate challenges, the group has adopted online and offline operations that have realized sound profits," Pan added.
Shao Zijin – a student at the Quzhou Huamao Foreign Languages School and winner of a silver award at the World Robot Competition – said that he would make the most use of his scientific knowledge for new inventions and innovation and that by so doing, he would advance the overall cause of promoting a dynamic Quzhou.
