The Ministry of Education recently announced The Results of The Registration & Examination and Approval of Undergraduate Majors in National Colleges in 2020 and an artificial intelligence major applied for by Quzhou University was listed as being approved, according to local media on March 4.

The new AI major is affiliated to the School of Electrical and Information Engineering of the university -- in the Kecheng district of Quzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province -- which is set enroll students in 2021.

The master's degree in the field of AI aims to develop a system of major basic theory, basic methods and applications.

It will explore its use in the smart "Internet+" city, as well as in software and information technology services and other areas of industry.

It can be applied in intelligent systems, intelligent information processing and in intelligent decision-making behavioral fields -- including scientific research, development, design, engineering applications and decision management -- to supply top applied talent.
