The Huai'an to Dantu section of the Lianyungang-Zhenjiang High-speed Railway started operating on Dec 11, according to local media.
Officials said Quzhou -- in East China's Zhejiang province -- is on the new train route and passengers from the city can now travel directly to the cities of Lianyungang, Huai'an and Yangzhou in Jiangsu province.
The G7390 train departs Quzhou at 12:16 hrs and arrives at Lianyungang at 18:05 and rail officials said the route offers a great passage through Jinhua and Hangzhou in Zhejiang province, Shanghai and 10 cities in Jiangsu -- including Suzhou, Wuxi, Gaoyou, Huai'an and Yangzhou.
Cities like Yangzhou and Gaoyou along the Grand Canal Cultural Belt will give passengers a window into the economy, religion, folk customs and other aspects of these areas.
