Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province was recently given the title of National Civilized City in 2020, ranking fourth in the assessment, according to reports in the local media.

The urban brand of Quzhou as the "Home of Southern Confucianism · A Model City of Virtue" has been successfully displayed by every local resident in the city.

In a bid to achieve strategic development, the city has rolled out effective measures to demonstrate its urban brand.

Since August, authorities in Quzhou have been promoting the use of public serving chopsticks and utensils to transfer food from a public plate to a guest's plate at restaurants.

In addition, as a key city of the project to turn Zhejiang province into what officials call a "big garden", a demonstration city for the Two Mountains theory which states that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, and a model green scenic city in Zhejiang, Quzhou hopes to become a pathfinder city in eastern Zhejiang.
