Walking the narrow lanes paved with grey stone, with the beautiful sound of the river, Fangcun Ancient Town in Changshan county, Quzhou, should provide enough material to get you started on your own painting masterpiece.

The millennial ancient town, is making great efforts to integrate with the concept of "beautiful town" and future community construction, with the aim of creating a fictitious land of peace – livable and suitable for travel and business.

"All 18 related projects scheduled for this year have been started, and the rate of operation has reached 100 percent," said Hu Zhibi, the deputy director of the ancient town's management office.

Some intelligent information systems have also been introduced to plans for more community construction. For example, a big data system for intelligent traffic is under construction, which will further enhance traffic capacity and public services in Fangcun.

Fangcun commercial complex, with a total investment of 200 million yuan ($29.76 million), covering 42,000 square meters, including one commercial building, will offer villagers the convenience of "one-stop" shopping.
